The foundation’s first initiative, Aviram Awards—Tech for Humanity, was launched in partnership with Forbes. The annual competition spotlights groundbreaking Middle Eastern and North African startups developing innovative solutions to today’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. In its inaugural event, the foundation will gather the region’s top entrepreneurs onstage for a live pitch event in March 2022.

“It’s very exciting for me to embark on this journey together with my children. The excitement of establishing the Aviram Family Foundation is different than the excitement of founding and running companies,” Ziv Aviram says. “We decided that the time is right. My family wants to direct its resources to social change—and it cannot wait. If more people start to think of how to create a company that brings a lot of benefits and changes the world for the better on a big scale, it’ll be much, much more than just business.”
